The M249 | Magma was added to CS2 on December 18th, 2013, with the Winter Offensive update. This incendiary skin, the brainchild of the genius community artist Algis, found its place in the 'to-have' lists of players who wanted to spew fire onto the battlefield.
The M249 | Magma is a rare, highly wanted skin. The only possible way to get this gun is by opening a case-a Winter Offensive Weapon Case-be it holding skins of various weapon finishes. This skin falls under the Winter Offensive Collection, which shows its design-hot yet icy-and thus is a wanted addition to any CS2 player's inventory.
Currently in the top 25% of the most popular items in CS2, M249 | Magma weighs in with a popularity of 75%. Due to its very frequent sales, the high popularity is determined by the relatively high price that traders are willing to buy and sell this skin for.
The M249 | Magma is an appearance from Machinegun skins, which has 43 versions in CS2. Its rarity is Mil-Spec Grade, and hence this gun is a relatively common drop; the drop chance is estimated at 79.92%.
The M249 | Magma does float in CS2, from a perfect 0.00 to a field-worn 0.70, giving the player the option to get this skin in any of its outer conditions. Moreover, the fans of this gun can be topped up with a StatTrak variant of the Magma for every outer option available, boosting its appeal even more for owning such a hot gun.
Community Feel: The community feel towards the M249 | Magma in CS2 is positive, since more than 9.5K votes on addskins.gg resulted in an impressive average rating of 4.4 out of 5 stars. Its popularity is further reinforced with its ownership by professional players such as seang@res and hazed-a sure indicator of desire and quality.
This M249 has been painted in a "Patina" style, using the Magma finish. The patina effect gives the metallic parts a weathered look, much as would be seen in the natural aging of real firearms. The magma finish adds a touch of fire, bright red and orange colors, influenced by the pattern index, which makes the weapon have a quite different and visually stunning look.
Each skin has a minimum and maximum wear value, that's what we call a wear range. The line shows the available wear range for this skin.
